Service capacity at Phuket International Airport will be enhanced to cater for private jets, so as to gain more income.
President of Airports of Thailand Public Company Limited ( AOT) Piyapan Jampasut said that AOT had given a policy to Phuket International Airport to increase its income in non-aviation-related business, according to Thai News Service.
Therefore the residential area for employees would be developed to support the operation of private jets. Employees would be relocated to another area covering 10 rai in space.
Director of Phuket International Airport Wing Commander Wicha Neonlop revealed that the area zoning could increase income to the airport, in the past year area zoning had been done in some area, therefore income in non-aviation-related business of the airport increased to 118 million baht from previously 87 million baht or increased by 63 per cent.
