Firefly expands in South East Asia

Firefly will be flying daily from Phuket 1st May to Subang in Malaysia adding convenience for stopovers into Malaysia for visa runs and business purposes.

FireFlyAirlineLogoThey have also launched their latest campaign, "WOW Bargains" on promotional tickets and packages to Firefly’s newly launched routes and destinations.

FireflyAirlinePlaneThe airline has launched WOW bargain fares for destinations such as Phuket, Batam and Padang. Approval has been given for flights from Subang and Penang to Singapore from June 1, 209. In addition, the airline can also fly from Ipoh, Terengganu and Kuantan from July 1, 2009 and between Malacca and Singapore on September 1, 2009.

Says managing Director Eddy Leong:

“We will be flying six new routes to Singapore this year from Subang, Penang, Ipoh, Terengganu, Kuantan and Malacca. Firefly will fly 28 times a week from Subang, 14 times from Penang, four times from Ipoh, three times from Terengganu and Kuantan, and four times a week from Malacca. We want to expand at our own pace. We are trying to conserve cash. We will probably announce it (new destinations) in the second half of this year.”
